Mari Mahr (fotógrafa, Chile, n:1941)

"A Few Days in Geneva", 1985
"I only have to cross the Channel to the Continent and see those familiar cobblestones and rooftops to make my childhood memories flood back. This record of a short trip to Geneva is about just such a time".
"The Dreamer's Birthday", 1992
"The Dreamer's Birthday was created as a present for my mother, a true humanitarian. The photos were made two years after her death and in the wake of the events in Eastern Europe. Throughout her life she firmly believed that Communism could work. In an ideal world with no corruption, no nepotism, no greed or favouritism, her dream —true equality for all— could have been achieved".
